There are so many video editors and surprisingly quite a few are free. However many of these free video editors have been lack luster and honestly not all that great. They often can't even beat very basic software like imovie, but now that has changed. Blackmagic has been surprising the movie industry quite a few times over the past few years from releasing a free version of their professional software (Da Vinci Resolve Lite) to creating the world's first affordable 2.5k RAW video camera (Blackmagic Cinema Camera), but I believe they have done it again. Now this most likely won't break too many headlines but the new Resolve 11 Lite is one of the best video editors. Now let me explain a little. It's not going to replace Premiere Pro or even FCPX. No one is switching from those. And it's not likely that professionals will use this on shoots, unless they're mainly colorists. But this is a very amazing stride in beginner filmmakers history. It has professional features like a blade tool, multitrack, and snap editing. Not to mention world renown color correction. Also it's available on both mac and pc. So anyone can use it. (Sorry Linux users you'll have to buy the full version) It's definitly worth a download. And if you haven't found a good video editor or are simply looking for free alternatives to Creative Cloud, give DaVinci Resolve a chance. link for davinci resolve - http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve
