Last weekend on an airplane trip, we had a delayed flight so while everyone wasted away their time on their smartphones, I decided to get out my T3i and shot some stock footage of the beautiful Orlando Airport. You can see the promo for it bellow. here's a quick trailer. go to the free stuff tab to download. Made in blender, not much to post about. It was fun making a short trailer thing out of some after effects templates and fcpx sound effects though.. Obviously Youtube has become the goto place for how-to videos and filmmaking is no exception. In fact there are an extraordinary amount of filmmaking channels. Some range from simply Camera Reviews, Visual Effect Tutorials and more. So let me guide you through some of the best and what you should watch from them.
I have added a Free Stuff section to my blog. Everything in it can be used on an commercial project or film. Feel free to download what you like. I will eventually be adding new things. And if anyone can find anything that I can put up or anything by yourself that you would like to add just email me at [email protected]
After taking a few classes in graphic design I learned a very simple way to create a effective film poster. Watch the video bellow to learn more. Download the "Credit Block" font at

So far my first experience has been fairly interesting. Even though it's a fairly local film festival I realized just how average my skills are. When I go to my school media class, I am considered the "video expert", but in the real world there are plenty of people just as skilled as you are. Which is very eye opening. Currently there is a voting for the "People's Choice Award" at http://filmfest.lancfound.org for the Lancaster County Community Foundation Film Fest. I'm not asking you to vote for me because that seems fairly selfish but I think that there's quite a few great films there and you should at least check some of them out and if you could vote for my film "The Big, Little Story" by Zachary Will under the High School Category.
